Jewelry designer, Michele La Vie has extensive experience as a custom fine jeweler since 1996. Michele is diamond certified and educated in colored gems through GIA. She has enjoyed much success with her company La Vie Diamonds, creating fine custom jewelry for celebrities including Hilary Duff, Anne Heche and Jessica Alba. Michelle and her custom fine jewelry have been featured in Good Life Vancouver Magazine.
Michele was inspired to create Paw-Purr Bling dog and cat collar jewelry with matching ladies pendants when she found her new love – Shadow – a Coton de Tulear dog. In researching jewelry for dogs and cats, Michele discovered that most pet collar charms are inexpensive, poorly made, and LEAD based!! Lead is just as harmful to your beloved dog or cat to chew on as it is for people! Many of the inexpensive dog and cat collar charms are coated with a plating which pets will eat– again a serious health danger for any dog or cat. The solution was simple - create a line of charms for beloved dogs and cats using the highest quality silver and beautiful crystal "gem" stones. And, offer the designs in gold and platinum with real diamonds for those who want fine jewelry quality for their dogs and cats.
Michele adapted her skills as a successful fine jeweler to design and handcraft dog and cat collar jewelry for Shadow and your furry loved ones. Shadow is now the model for many of Michele’s inspired pet collar charms, with matching pendants and earrings for ladies.

Shadow
Shadow, a Coton de Tulear (white cotton ball) is the inspiration behind Paw-Purr Bling jewelry for pampered pets and people. The Coton de Tulear, a rare dog breed from Madagascar, is a non-shedding, perfect companion dog, about the size of a Havanese or Bichon Frise.
Shadow came to Michele from Saskatchewan, Canada, from a special breeder, Cathy Enns.
When Michelle attends tradeshows to show her La Vie Diamonds fine jewelry designs, Shadow often steals all the attention as he is a rare breed, a perfect companion, and a great model for Paw-Purr Bling dog collar charms.
