Paw-Purr Bling uses a new sterling silver that is extremely tarnish resistant. It is the most important advance in silver technology in modern times. It stays bright and beautiful for weeks, months, or years and requires only an occasional wipe with a soft cloth to remove a smudge or finger mark. Argentium Sterling Silver is therefore a much healthier alternative to harmful lead materials.
Yes it’s more expensive 15% - 18% higher than standard sterling silver. But all those who are already wearing it, tell us its well worth the extra money. Argentium Sterling Silver is a modern sterling silver alloy which modifies the traditional sterling silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with a rare metallic element called germanium.
Argentium Silver is the result of research by Peter Johns at the School of Art & Design, Middlesex University. The project began in 1990 with research on the effects of germanium additions to silver alloys. Pieces are enhanced using crystals that are diamond-cut high quality cubic zirconia and coloured synthetic birthstones. The ladies’ chains are 18” standard length (available as 16 ”) or for your furry friend in 6, 8, 10 or 12” length and are Rhodium Plated, Sterling Silver so they don’t tarnish and are diamond cut so they have a beautiful shiny luster.
