Each Paw-Purr Bling dog and cat collar charm is made of Argentium sterling silver. This new sterling silver is extremely tarnish resistant. It is the most important advance in silver technology in modern times. Each piece will stay bright and beautiful for years and requires only an occasional wipe with a soft cloth to remove a smudge or finger mark. Each piece was designed to look great while withstanding chewing, rubbing against leashes, getting wet – you name it!

Collar charms and pendants are enhanced with diamond-cut quality cubic zirconia and coloured synthetic crystal birthstones.

Each design is available with a lobster clasp to easily attach to your dog's or cat's collar or with a loop on a sparkling diamond-cut rhodium-plated non-tarnishing silver chain in a 16 or 18 inch length.

Tell Me More About Argentium Sterling Silver
Argentium sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy which modifies the traditional sterling silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with a rare metallic element called germanium. The germanium in the Argentium forms a clear oxide on the metal, protecting it from tarnishing. The longer the Argentium is exposed to air, the more tarnish-resistant it becomes. Argentium silver is the result of research by Peter Johns at the School of Art & Design, Middlesex University in England. Argentium sterling silver is real sterling silver -- it is 925 parts out of 1000 silver, or .925. By law, to be called sterling silver, any alloy (blend of metals) has to be 925 parts out of 1000 silver, and the rest can be any other metal. Traditional sterling silver uses copper as the other 075 parts of the sterling. This makes for a strong sterling silver, but unfortunately, as we all know, it tarnishes readily.  Argentium sterling silver is 15% - 18% more expensive than standard sterling silver – and those already wearing it tell us its well worth it!
